HopeLand is a school, home, and farm for the children who would otherwise live at the Gioto Dumpsite
HopeLand will offer health, education, and above all, love to the children living at the Gioto Dumpsite.
HopeLand will provide free quality education, balanced nutrition, and a safe, supportive living environment.
HopeLand will encourage holistic growth, nourishment to the mind, body & spirit, and a strong foundation In Christ.
The Need
Hundreds of precious children live on the rubbish at Gioto. Forcefully displaced families have survived on the dumpsite by scavenging food & resources for over five decades.
Education in Kenya requires school fees & materials that Gioto families cannot afford.
The lack of education & opportunity causes a generational cycle of poverty that Cabbage & Crayons is determined to help end.
The Dream
HopeLand was envisioned by two loving Kenyan Pastors who have been serving & collaborating with the Gioto community for over 20 years.
The residential school, a testament to our shared vision, will be built and maintained by our Kenyan community partners.
The campus will also provide clean water, sustainable agriculture & faithful mentors.
The Path
Cabbage & Crayons cultivates relationships with the people & supporters of Gioto to ensure a collaborative partnership.
Members visit the community, listen to their prayers & provide funds for immediate needs.
