Our dream is to build a school, farm, and home for the children who would otherwise live at the Gioto Dumpsite
This school will offer health, education, and above all, love to the children living at the Gioto Dumpsite.
This school will provide free quality education, balanced nutrition, and a safe, supportive living environment.
This school will encourage holistic growth, nourishment to the mind, body & spirit, and a strong foundation In Christ.
The Need
Hundreds of children live on the rubbish in Gioto. Families, forcefully displaced, have survived on the dumpsite by scavenging food & resources for over five decades.
Education in Kenya requires fees & school materials that Gioto families cannot afford.
The lack of education & opportunity causes a generational cycle of poverty that Cabbage & Crayons is determined to help end.
The Dream
We envision a place where the children of Gioto can learn, heal and grow. We will always rely on the local leaders to collaborate with and find the best path for these kids.
The residential school, a testament to our shared vision, will be built and maintained by our Kenyan community partners.
The campus will also provide clean water, sustainable agriculture & faithful mentors.
The Path
Cabbage & Crayons cultivates relationships with the people & supporters of Gioto to ensure a collaborative partnership.
Every year our members visit the community, listen to their prayers & provide funds for immediate needs.
